ČEPS (transmission system operator of the Czech Republic), a member of industrial board of the AERIAL-CORE project, has organized a workshop together with CTU (Chack Technical University) partner.
The main goal was to demonstrate currently used methods of power line monitoring and inspection. At first, ČEPS demonstrated the power line inspection by a manned helicopter and invited Martin Saska (PI of CTU partner) onboard, which was a valuable experience for CTU partner to experience current monitoring.
Next, ČEPS presented an unmanned aerial system for remote inspection of power lines. In the second part of the workshop, CTU and ČEPS have discussed the possibilities of the real deployment of the AERIAL-CORE project outputs within the Czech Republic.
Also, ČEPS presented valuable end-user requirements to support further cooperation and indicated a strong interest to use the results of AERIAL-CORE project.
