Description of the organization

E- Distribución is Endesa’s subsidiary in the electricity distribution business. It has 12.4 million clients in 27 Spanish provinces. Last year, e-distribución distributed the equivalent of 44% of Spain’s total demand of electricity.

Endesa is the leading company in the Spanish electricity sector and the second largest operator in the Portuguese electricity market, with the core business in the generation, distribution and sale of electricity. It is also a major operator in the natural gas sector and provides other energy-related services.

Endesa is part of the Enel Group, which owns 70.1% of he shares. Enel Group is one of the world’s leading integrated electricity and gas operators, with presence in 33 countries across five continents, generating energy with a managed capacity of more than 89 GW and almost 73 million end users around the world.
