Next Friday, April 29 at 12:00 UTC+01:00, a demonstration of the H2020 Project AERIAL-CORE (https://aerial-core.eu/) will be held.
We will present a fully autonomous long-range multi-UAV cooperative inspection of the electrical power lines near the ATLAS Flight Center (https://lnkd.in/du8its3) owned by Fundación Andaluza para el Desarrollo Aeroespacial.
In the demo, several hybrid VTOL (Vertical Take-off and Landing Fixed-Wing) and multi-rotors UAVs will cooperate to perform autonomous long-range (several kilometers) inspections of Endesa power lines, including:
– Autonomous heterogeneous multi-UAV planning of the tasks and the trajectories.
– Autonomous landing to recharge the battery during the mission.
– Environment perception and communication.
– Power line inspection.
Additionally, we will present other technologies such as autonomous mapping of the vegetation near the electrical lines and the inspection by using a hybrid flapping-fixed wing UAV.
The methods and concepts to be presented are relevant for many other applications such as environmental monitoring, surveillance, and agriculture, among many others.
The access is by invitation. If you are interested in attending, please let us know by filling out this form: https://lnkd.in/eYwTrSJQ so we can send you a personal invitation. (Form will be closed the 25th of April)
