AERIAL-CORE – Integration Workshop on Aerial Manipulation Tasks

23/07/2021

Professor Vincenzo Lippiello (University of Naples) organized this AERIAL-CORE workshop with the participation of CATEC, VES, University of Zagreb, University of Seville, ENEL, and Terabee. All these partners are involved in three work packages:

  • WP5: Arms and End Effectors for Aerial Manipulation.
  • WP6: Cognitive Safe and Accurate Aerial Manipulation
  • WP8: Integration

The workshop was focused on the analysis and design of the aerial manipulation robots to be developed for the installation of bird flight diverters and recharging stations on the power lines. This relevant activity comprised several technological aspects and challenges relative to the aerial platform, the robotic arm, hardware/software interfaces, manipulation methods, and the experimental validation.

Interesting collaborations emerged during this meeting that will bring new technological and research results for the project.
